The Woman Who Defied the Odds with Diet
A Second Chance for His Kidneys
The Woman Who Defied the Odds with Diet
Case Summary: When she came to us in 2019, her kidneys were already scarred.
- Creatinine: 2.0 mg/dL
- Proteinuria: over 1,200 mg/day
- Blood pressure: high
In most cases, this would be a slow slide toward dialysis.
But she was determined—and so were we.
Our Approach:
- We created an individualised diet plan
- Added impactful supplements
- Closely monitored her labs
- Guided her through each step with regular follow-ups
She followed every recommendation.
Today: After 6 years
- Creatinine is stable at: 2.8 mg/dL
- Proteinuria has dropped
- She feels stronger and more in control
“I know my kidneys are damaged. But now I know they’re not giving up—and neither am I.” ✅
In kidney care, stabilization is a real victory.
Note: If the patient could have been treated only by conventional measures his serum creatinine could have gone to more than 6 mg/dL by now and ended up with initiation of dialysis.

A Second Chance for His Kidneys
Case Summary: A 45-year-old male & obese arrived at our emergency department with blood pressure soaring at 230/150 mmHg, already on six different medications.
His kidneys were under threat—creatinine rising, protein leaking, and his energy fading fast.
Instead of rushing to add more medications, we paused to understand the full picture.
Our Comprehensive Kidney-Protective Plan:
- ✅ Newer drugs to reduce protein leak in urine
- ✅ Gentle but effective medication adjustments
- ✅ Detailed lifestyle coaching – to reduce his body weight
- ✅ Consistent follow-up and home monitoring
- ✅ Therapy to reduce snoring – which too protects the kidneys
Over the next 18 months, things turned around:
- ✔️ Kidney function improved (creatinine dropped from 1.8 to 1.2)
- ✔️ Proteinuria reduced from 1 gram to just 0.3 grams/day
- ✔️ Blood pressure stabilized on fewer medications
- ✔️ And most importantly—hope returned
“I thought my kidneys were done. Now I feel like I have a second chance,” he told us.
This is what individualized nephrology care can do—protect kidneys, restore control, and rewrite the story.
Note: If the patient could have been treated only by conventional measures his serum creatinine could have gone to 4 mg/dL by now and ended up with initiation of dialysis.
